Financial Planner appointed in London

Leading UK investment management and financial planning group Tilney has appointed Duncan Budd as a financial planner. Duncan will join the team in the company’s office in New Street Square in London.

Duncan joins from DB financial – the firm he established 11 years ago to look after high net worth individuals who value the transparency of being managed independently from the private banks. Prior to this he spent 5 years in Singapore, first as vice president at Lloyds Private Client Bank, and more recently as senior vice president at Schroders Private Bank.

In Tilney’s London team, Duncan will deliver advice as part of the firm’s ‘two expert’ approach which sees financial planners paired alongside the firm’s investment managers to provide a high quality integrated wealth management service to clients.

Richard Dawes, regional head of financial planning at Tilney, said, says: “Duncan has spent the past 28 years in the industry, forging strong bonds with clients across the globe. His wealth of expertise will be invaluable to both the team in London and the company as a whole as we continue to strengthen our presence across the country.

“As we look to continue growing our regional teams, it is very pleasing that we can attract someone of Duncan’s calibre and I am delighted to welcome him to Tilney.”
