Tilney Bestinvest hires leading wealth manager Martin King

Tilney Bestinvest, the investment and financial planning group, is pleased to announce that Martin King has been hired as Managing Director, Investment Management. He will be based in the firm’s Birmingham office where he will lead a new initiative to develop its investment offering in the Key Client and Ultra High Net Worth market.

King is a leading figure in the Midlands wealth management scene with over 25-years’ experience in the industry having worked for firms such as UBS Wealth Management, Kleinwort Benson Private Bank and Singer & Friedlander. He has built up an extensive network amongst entrepreneurs and business leaders.

He joins Tilney Bestinvest from Signia Wealth where he has spent the last three years as Managing Director and Head of Regions establishing the company’s Birmingham office. Prior to Signia, he spent 8 years as an Executive Director at UBS Wealth Management and founded UBS Wealth Management’s Midlands office, which became one of the most successful UBS offices in the UK. Firmly rooted in the Midlands, he is a trustee of the Theatre Development Trust at the Birmingham Hippodrome.
