Smith & Williamson, part of leading wealth management and professional services group Tilney Smith & Williamson, has announced the appointment of Jenny Reed as Director in its Forensics Services team.
Jenny joins from Baker Tilly International and has over twenty years’ experience in the accountancy profession, first as an auditor and thereafter in technical, training and compliance. She has worked with clients across a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, agriculture, real estate, scientific technology and pensions. Jenny has a particular specialism in the not-for-profit-sector, having spent some time out of the profession as finance director of two charities.
The Smith & Williamson Forensic Services team is a highly respected provider of specialist forensic services. For over 25 years, its team of forensic experts have provided a range of advice across areas including fraud and financial crime, commercial disputes, valuations, professional negligence matters, monitoring trustee and competition services, and forensic technology.
David Alexander, Head of Forensic Services at Smith & Williamson LLP commented: “I am delighted to welcome Jenny to the team. We have ambitious plans to grow our Forensic Services business and Jenny’s experience and skills as an acknowledged auditing expert will enable us to broaden the range of services we offer our clients.”
Jenny Reed added: “I am excited to have joined Smith & Williamson and look forward to helping drive continued growth of the firm’s Forensics Services practice. I have had a longstanding ambition to work in forensics but thought I had missed the boat, having not moved into that specialism after qualifying. I am looking forward to bringing my audit technical experience to bear on forensic cases, particularly auditor negligence.”
