Jonathan Balcombe

Jonathan has more than 20 years of experience providing corporate tax advice to domestic and multinational private clients, working primarily within the Private Equity sector. Prior to joining Evelyn in January 2023, Jonathan was a member of leadership for EY's Private Tax business, following ten years working on mid-market and big cap PE deals within their Transaction Tax team in London.

Jonathan leverages his extensive experience to provide wide-ranging advice and support to both PE portfolio companies and their stakeholders at every point of the holding period and beyond, with a clear focus on creating, protecting, and realising value.

Tax structuring, diligence and advisory support to a long-term investment platform throughout their creation of a European homeware business via buy and build over several years, including substantial reorganisation and refinancing projects.

Comprehensive tax support (compliance, advisory, transactions, controversy) to an international marketing technology group from initial PE-sponsored MBO through to secondary PE-ownership (following 10x growth in Enterprise Value).
