Dougie Cameron

Dougie joined Smith & Williamson in November 2019 to set up and build a Financial Planning team in Scotland to assist clients of his Investment Manager colleagues. He has over 25 years’ experience in advising clients, most recently with Brewin Dolphin where he headed up the Financial Planning team in their Glasgow office for 5 years, and prior to that with Chartered Financial Planners, Chartermarque. He is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and Chartered Financial Planner and advises a wide range of clients including Partners of professional firms, wealthy families, business leaders and owners of successful private companies. He provides holistic financial planning advice including retirement, inheritance and general tax planning, lifetime modelling and efficient income structuring.

Areas of expertise

Assisting with complex pension issues including Lifetime and Annual Allowance management, target funding and retirement income structuring. Estate planning management for high net worth individuals.

Dougie has been advising clients since the early 1990s. He therefore has a wide range of experience in advising upon a particularly wide range of financial planning issues.
