South West businesses should not be afraid to ask for help and support as they grow, Peter Ball, tax partner at Smith & Williamson will tell those attending a special “Scale-Up Bristol” event on March 6.

A new Inspire, network of support for scale-up businesses is being launched at the event with Smith & Williamson one of the strategic partners ready to offer expertise to business owners covering a range of services including accountancy, tax, corporate finance and personal wealth management.

Peter Ball, who is based in the Bristol office and advises entrepreneurs, families and businesses, said: “Growing a business is challenging and sometimes can feel pretty lonely but those who grow fastest and most successfully are often the ones willing to seek out advice and follow it.

“That is why it is exciting to be involved in this initiative where Inspire, a not for profit business organisation, have assembled a highly experienced team of Business Advisers to help people specifically in the greater Bristol area.

“We are bringing Smith & Williamson’s scale-up programme, which has already helped many ambitious businesses grow successfully, supporting them through processes such as raising funds, considering a game-changing transaction or a new challenge.

“The network is assembling an impressive range of support for businesses with an ambition to grow, set to benefit the most.”

The official launch of the Bristol network is on Tuesday March 6 at the University of the West of England, Enterprise Zone, Frenchay Campus. Peter Ball is among the speakers.

As part of the support available Inspire Elite is able to introduce businesses, who are eligible, to a tailored leadership programme funded by the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses initiative.

Places at the event can be booked through the following link: - Scale Up Bristol 6/3/18 or by emailing elite@inspirebiz.co.uk.
