Our approach to fees & charges
Everyone’s different, which is why we don’t offer a one-size-fits-all approach to our service, fees and charges. We put together the right service for you at the right price, and promise that by being clear and transparent throughout there won’t be any surprises.
At Evelyn Partners we stand out with our ‘multi-expert’ approach
Most of our competitors either assign you to a financial planner or an investment manager, but we have the expertise to be able to offer you both - and we can help you with your tax planning or business too.
This means we can offer you all the services you might need to plan your future, grow your wealth and manage your taxes – whether you are an individual, a family or you have a business, and whatever stage of life you are at.
This ensures that in every aspect of your finances you are advised by an expert in their field, not a generalist. We offer this service as we believe it delivers better client outcomes.
This is how we find the right service for you
We go through the same process with all our clients before they join Evelyn Partners:
1. We assign you your own investment manager or financial planner
This helps us get to know you so that we can properly assess what you need and how we can help.
2. We assess your options
Which services do you need? What meets your requirements? We sit down with you to understand your priorities, shortfalls and options to improve so we can create a plan that aims to achieve your goals.
3. We build the service that matches your ambitions
With the options we have built together, you decide whether it provides you with what you need and is the right price.
4. We review it regularly
We offer one-off, periodic or ongoing evaluations to make sure our services remain suitable for you and are priced accordingly. Sometimes this means prices can go up or down.
How our tiered fee structures work
The more you have invested with us, the lower the fee percentage you pay. See what that means in reality with a selection of our fee schedules.
Financial planning fees
What you get and how we charge for our services.
Fees and charges - initial plan
- Once you have discussed and agreed how we can help you, your financial planner will confirm the fee for advice, research, recommendation and implementation covering areas of planning you require
- Advice fees may include VAT – we will be clear if this is not the case
- Fees for individual advice services typically start from £2,000. We commence work once you have confirmed you are happy to proceed
Fees and charges - ongoing services
- You pay a percentage of the value of your portfolio per annum
- Our fee structure is tiered, which means your fee percentage reduces the more you have invested with us
- Fees are typically deducted from your investments, but we can also invoice for them and offer other alternatives too. All servicing fees are clear and transparent
- Typical Financial Planning Review Service fees for a portfolio of £800,000 held in our custody are 0.4% per annum including VAT (£3,200), depending on your investment solution
- The above is just one illustrative example. We have other services, both specialist and lower cost, which may be more suitable for your needs
